Sedum Succulent Plant

 Sedum is a small succulent shrub characterized by its attractive appearance and thick, shiny yellowish-green leaves that often turn red over time. It is also known as "many-fingered plant" due to its small, finger-like succulent leaves. Additionally, it is easy to grow and care for, not requiring continuous and intensive care, as it grows freely and propagates quickly through the rooting of its stems and fallen leaves. Indoors, the Sedum plant requires varying levels of light, ranging from moderate to bright indirect light, such as artificial lighting or window light. When acquiring it, it is preferable to place it in areas with moderate light, keeping in mind to position it in shaded spots to avoid damaging and burning the leaves. The plant should be watered regularly when the top surface of the soil is dry, as the plant tolerates severe drought. Therefore, it must be planted in a compact, well-draining soil in a pot that allows excess water to drain to maintain its healthy growth and prevent stem rot disease. The plant grows well in environments where the suitable temperature for its growth ranges between 18-25 degrees Celsius and a moderate humidity level. The plant is fertilized once a month during the growing season in spring and summer using balanced liquid fertilizers, following the recommended instructions to achieve the best results. The plant is pruned from time to time to remove damaged or dead leaves and stems, limit the spread of diseases and pests, and improve its aesthetic appearance.
