Monkey Mask Monstera - Monstera Adansonii Plant

The Monstera Monkey Mask is also known as the Swiss Cheese Vine or Five Holes Plant, and it is native to the tropical forests of Central and South America.

Lighting

The Monstera Monkey Mask is happy in most lighting conditions. Medium to indirect bright light would be ideal for the Monkey, but it will grow best in sunny spots. Keep the Monkey away from any direct light, as this will scorch its delicate and sensitive leaves. The Monkey makes a good winter plant as it won't mind lower levels of daylight.

Watering

The Monstera Monkey Mask does not drink a lot of water but likes to be watered regularly. Wait until the first 2-3 cm of soil are dry before watering again. In winter, you can reduce its watering schedule as its soil will dry less.

Humidity

The Monstera Monkey Mask comes from a humid climate and will appreciate humidity on its leaves. To mimic its natural environment, you can place it next to a humidifier, or use a pebble tray under the pot.

Temperature

Due to its delicate leaves, the Monstera Monkey Mask does not tolerate cold temperatures. The ideal indoor temperature for the Monkey is between 20-30°C. As long as the indoor temperature does not drop below 20°C, the Monkey will be happy.

Fertilizer

To promote growth, use organic fertilizers or our fortified fertilizers every 4-6 weeks in the months of March to September.
