The Monstera Adansonii is also known as the Swiss Cheese Plant or the Five Holes Plant, and is native to the tropical forests of Central and South America.

Lighting

Monstera Adansonii is happy in most lighting conditions. Bright, medium to indirect light would be ideal for the Adansonii, but it will grow best in sunny locations. Keep the Adansonii away from any direct light, this will burn its delicate and sensitive leaves. The Adansonii makes a good winter plant as it won't mind lower levels of daylight.

The Monstera Adansonii doesn't drink a lot of water but does like to be watered regularly. Wait until the first 2-3 cm of soil is dry before watering again. In winter, you can reduce its watering schedule as its soil will dry out less.

The Monstera Adansonii comes from a humid climate and will appreciate moisture on its leaves. To mimic its natural environment, you can place it next to a humidifier, or use a pebble tray under the pot.

Due to its delicate leaves, the Monstera Adansonii cannot tolerate cold temperatures. The ideal indoor temperature for the Adansonii is between 20-30 degrees Celsius. As long as the indoor temperature does not fall below 20 degrees Celsius, the Adansonii will be happy.
